One of the longest projects to ever see the light of day at SkyBabyRecords is Ash Tree Lane, the heavy, intense, atmosphere-core project from Paul Terry. The antithesis to PT’s other moniker – the melodic-led, alt-acoustic Cellarscape – Ash Tree Lane’s material has existed as demos since 2003, but with the demands of Cellarscape’s recordings, plus, PT’s film soundtrack work, there has never been the right time to focus on an ATL record. But now, work proper on the first collection of songs has begun. 4 songs will make up the first Ash Tree Lane EP, ‘The Shelf Has Fallen’, and SkyBabyRecords plan to release the EP on the same say as Cellarscape’s new ambient ‘A Theta/Delta Union’ EP.
